Our focus on growth is balanced by a respect for the environment.  We try to find ways to minimise our impact on the environment by keeping our energy, water consumption and waste to a minimum through our working practices and indeed through our products.

John Crane Smartflow:

John Crane won a Business Enterprise Award for ‘Best Specific Environmental Initiative’ – Smartflow – at the United Nations Association of Australia, a national awards programme that acknowledges action taken at a local level to address global environmental issues.

SmartFlow is a control system that regulates seal water consumption.  On average, SmartFlow can save up to 95% of water compared to traditional flow meter regulated control systems, currently saving a total of 1.5 billion litres of water each year.

Flex-Tek's Thermaflex:

Flex-Tek’s air duct system, Thermaflex, has obtained certification for use in applications where children are present, including day care centres and nurseries throughout the US.  Thermaflex is installed throughout the US and reduces the amount of chlorofluorocarbons and other hazardous materials that are expelled into the atmosphere, helping to keep the air cleaner and making the world safer for our children.
