Horizons

Horizons is an innovative two year development programme for those early in their career at Smiths.  The programme is designed to provide an understanding of Smiths Group, the business world in general and to enable employees to develop personal capabilities both as an individual and as part of a team.  Employees are given regular reviews with mentors, managers and HR, who'll play active roles in their progress.

Emerging Leaders Programme

Emerging Leaders is a global development programme, designed to support the Smiths Group talent management strategy. Developing a globally identified pool of employees early in their career who could potentially fulfil a future leadership role in Smiths Group.

Mentoring

Smiths provides employees with the opportunity to have a mentor to provide guidance and direction.  Mentoring is a mutual learning partnership in which people assist each other with professional and personal development through coaching, role modelling, business counselling and sharing knowledge.  This enables mentees to build confidence, learn more about the business and share ideas.
